The Perfect Lunge
Lunges are give our legs an amazing thrill ride. Perfect for toning up the quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, and a great cardiovascular exercise. This movement is one that can be done without any equipment and all it requires is space and opportunity.
To perform the lunge all you have to do is stand with your feet shoulder width apart and take one foot and step forward. The bend in the knee is where most people get caught up. The idea is to do the lunge while keeping the knee behind the toes and that way all of the bodies weight does not go directly to the knees, but stays within the quad muscles. Yes, this is a constant reminder, but we tend to forget about our form and do exercises wrong. Remember, exercises are only as effective as the quality that YOU put into them.
